New Zealand-based Interventional Radiologist with Extensive Experience in Medical Device Development and Early Human Trials
- Director of Northern Region Interventional Radiology Service and Professor of Radiology at the University of Auckland. Co-Director of the Vascular Intervention Research Unit at Auckland Hospital.
- Co-Director of the Charing Cross Symposium in London.
- Has been involved in over 100 medical device trials, often as Principal Investigator, including many “first in human” trials .
- Author of over 150 articles in peer reviewed journals and five book chapters. He has presented over 700 times at major scientific meetings.
- Past-President of the Asia-Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR).
- Awarded an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) medal for his contribution to vascular and endovascular interventions.
